Kona Morren
Founder, Director, and Instructor
Kona Morren is the founding member and CEO of Flipkick Swim Academy in North Richland Hills and Fort Worth. She grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area where was a competitive swimmer for 13 years. Her career began at the tender age of 5 for a USA Swimming Team. In 2001, Kona moved to the Dallas/ Fort Worth area where she lives with her husband and 3 children.
Swimming has always been an intregal part of her life teaching instilling valuable life lessons and skills. With over 30 years of swimming experience, Kona takes tremendous pride in teaching important aquatic survival skills, water safety awareness, and sharing the lifetime gift of swimming with babies, children and adults of all ages.
Kona began teaching swim lessons in 1992 and and was also a swim coach for Sigma Performance Swimming in Fort Worth and is a USA Swimming coaching member.
Ashley Studinski
Administrative Coordiantor
Ashley was born and raised in Arlington, Texas. She graduated from Texas Tech University with a Marketing degree and married her high school sweetheart, Ian.
They have two beautiful daughters that keep them very busy. Ashley has been blessed to be a stay at home mom while working part time as the business manager at a salon. She keeps the salon running smoothly by ordering and stocking supplies, payroll, and organizing retail.
Ashley loves to volunteer at her daughters school. She has played an important role as a PTA board member for the last 8 years and loves to help the staff and students anyway she can. Ashley’s dependability and great relationship with the school also led to an opportunity of substitute teaching.
Ashley enjoys helping others, being around people, and spending time with her family.
Keelin Alspaugh
Instructor
Keelin has been teaching swimming since 2015. Keelin graduated from LD Bell High School with her International Baccerlaute diploma and attended City College of San Francisco for one year before moving back to Texas to continue her studies in Exercise Science with a goal of achieving a Doctorate in Physical Therapy.
Keelin was captain of the Ld Bell High School swim team, a cellist in orchestra, and swam for City College of San Francisco.
She enjoys teaching children, swimming, playing the cello, and traveling the world.
Edgar Holguin
Instructor
Edgar Holguin was born and raised in Fort Worth Texas. He is passionate about fitness and the self improvement of his students and peers. He has over 10 years in the customer service aspect of business and has been a swim coach and personal trainer for since 2014.
Edgar's life revolves around bodybuilding, growing his mind and keeping his time busy by helping the community strive for a better future.
Emma Dunlap
Instructor
Emma is native of Fort Worth, Texas where she grew up working in the nursery at church. She absolutely adores getting to teach children and watch them grow and learn. Emma also worked in the service industry where she developed leadership and interpersonal skills. Emma enjoys volunteering for her church's mission trips and loves to travel with opportunities to go to New York, Baltimore, Hong Kong, and Taiwan several times.
